Portland band Nice Nice creates a particularly lush brand of prog rock, full of unhinged rhythmic and melodic sequences and a healthy dose of electronics to break their sound open even further. Loud, brash and drenched in reverb, the distinction between analog and electric sounds grows less distinct with each listen. Arising out of clanging, live drums are kaleidoscopes of digital melodies, bringing psychedelic rock into the 21st century.
