Matmos

Matmos is an experimental electronic duo that was founded in San Francisco in 1995. Though never an act that has been willing to sacrifice its artistic integrity for mainstream cultural acceptance, Matmos has served as a stalwart act amid many of the frivolous acts that rise and fall in the never ending saga of indie buzz band notoriety. Having made a fan out of the avant-garde Icelandic musician Bjork with its 1998 remixes of a few of her songs, Matmos would eventually work closely with Bjork on her 2001 and 2004 albums.
