About
Bristol City W.F.C. is an English football team that features in the FA Women's Championship. The team was founded in 1998 as Bristol Rovers and was rechristened as Bristol City Women's Football Club in 2016. It spent much of its time competing in the lower divisions of the English league system and in 2010 it was promoted to Women's Super League for the first time in its history. In 2021 it was relegated to the second division after it finished twelfth.
