Motorpsycho's sound is a semi-violent one with psychedelic qualities and a unique melody. The Norwegian alternative rock band named itself after a Russ Meyer film, Motorpsycho!, from 1965. Their hard, lo-fi sound would became a bit more refined without losing its edge, its tough rock quality. Their first album is Lobotomizer (1991), which was followed by 8 Soothing Songs for Rut (1992).
