The Spartans represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of San Jose State University in San Jose, California. As a member of the NCAA's Division I, the university competes in the Western Athletic Conference and the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). San Jose State sponsors a number of men's and women's athletic programs in sports such as football, baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, volleyball, tennis and water polo.
