Arsenal W.F.C. is one of the top teams in England's Football Association Women's Super League (FA WSL). The club was founded in 1987 and like its men's counterpart, it too has enjoyed a good amount of success over the years. In 1993 it won the double - FA Women's Cup and FA Women's Premier League National Division, announcing itself as one of the country's giants. After dominating the domestic scene for a while, it made its presence felt on the continental stage after it claimed the prestigious UEFA Women's Champions League in 2007.
