About
VfL Wolfsburg Frauen is one of Germany's best women's football clubs. Founded in 2003, the club was quick to make its presence felt in the Frauen-Bundesliga. It enjoyed its most successful season in 2012-13, when it won the Frauen-Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and the UEFA Women's Champions League, becoming the country's second women's football team to win the treble. The team's dominance continued into the next season, as it successfully defended the Frauen-Bundesliga and the Champions League titles.
