Birmingham Squadron is the G League affiliate of the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans. The team was founded in 2019 after the Erie BayHawks was acquired by the New Orleans Pelicans. It was then relocated to Birmingham, Alabama and rebranded as Birmingham Squadron.
