CS Universitatea Cluj-Napoca is one of Romania's best basketball teams. Since its foundation in 1947, the team has competed at the highest level and has defeated some of the best teams in the league. It won its first league championship in 1992 and successfully defended its crown a year later. Additionally it has also won the Romanian Cup and Romanian Supercup.
