About
FC Aarau is a Swiss football team that features in the Swiss Challenge League - the second tier league of the country. The team was founded in 1902 and was an instant success. It won its first domestic championship in 1912 and earned its spot among the giants of the league. In 1933 it was relegated for the first time in its history and spent several years in lower divisions. The club had a renaissance in 1981 after returning to the top of the pyramid and won its first ever Swiss League Cup a year later.
