Founded in 1999, Yokohama FC is a Japanese football club that competes in the J1 League. It is a supporter-owned professional team and was formed by the fans of the now defunct club Yokohama Flügels as a protest post the merger of the Flügels with the Yokohama Marinos. The club is based in Yokohama and can be seen playing its home matches at the Mitsuzawa Stadium. Honors won by the club include the Japan Football League and the J2 League.
