About
Rögle BK is one of fourteen clubs that compete in the the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The team was founded 1932 as a bandy club and was fairly successful before switching to ice hockey. It began its journey as an ice hockey team in the third tier of the Swedish league system. A series of great performances saw it climb up the ladder and in 1992 it earned promotion into the SHL for the first time.
