About
Without a doubt, Alianza Fútbol Club is one of EL Salvador's most successful football clubs. The club was founded in 1958 and was quick to make an impact on the domestic football scene with a second-placed-finish in its debut season. This feat helped it gain recognition and in 1966 it won its first ever top division championship. The following year it became the first team from Central America to clinch the CONCACAF Champions' Cup, thus cementing its position amongst the best teams in the region.
