While attending NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, she wrote the song "WYD Now?" which went viral on TikTok in 2021, leading her to leave college and pursue music full-time. Her emotionally resonant songwriting, influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift, has garnered attention, including a sample in Rod Wave's 2023 song "2018," which charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilcox released her debut EP, Simple Like 17, in December 2023 and has toured with artists like Johnny Orlando and Cian Ducrot, solidifying her place in the music industry.
