The 1990s rave scene was somewhat of a transformative period for electronic music. While this period influenced countless electronic musicians, it also left its imprint on several individuals who would go onto start rock bands. The English band Klaxons is one of these bands. The group's sound is distinctively rock-centric, but there are also elements of rave-electro thrown into many of the band's songs that beg to be compared to the danceable electronica of the 1990s, only furthered by the band's description of its sound as new rave.
