Tønsberg og Omegn Ishockeyklubb represents the city of Tønsberg in Norway's 1. divisjon. The team was founded in 1963 and spent most of its years in the lower divisions. The team's fortunes changed in the early 2000s and a good run of form helped it earn a promotion into the 2. divisjon in 2004 for the first time in its history. The team continued to impress and in 2012 it earned a spot in the top tier Eliteserien. However its stay in the top division only lasted two years as it was relegated to the 1. divisjon at the end of the 2013-14 season.
