A child prodigy, Paraguay-based Carlos Reyes made his public debut at the age of 5 on the violin, immediately after mastering the highly complicated Paraguayan harp as well as a slew of other instruments. By the age of 14, Reyes was performing with the Oakland Symphony on harp and began recording background music for programs like Sesame Street and various commercials. He eventually joined San Francisco-based jazz rock group Merlin and released several solo albums, his debut landing on Billboard's "Top 10 Contemporary Jazz Albums" chart. Reyes can be found touring regularly throughout Europe, the US and South America, and has shared the stage with legends like Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston.
