Raised by two highly respected Spanish flamenco dancers, Israel Galván naturally fell into the family business, as did his sister, who he often collaborates with. While he had been dancing since the age of five, Galván only became serious about dance in the mid-1990s, when he immediately topped the fame of his parents for his fast-paced flamenco footwork. Since then, Galván has not only developed an international fame in his art, but has also created his own dance company and is now sought out as a choreographer for many prominent Spanish cultural events.
