While the name Helsingin Jokerit might mean "Jesters of Helsinki" this Finnish ice hockey team is definitely no joke. Members of the top flight SM-liiga, this team has proven to be one of the division's giants since its inception in 1967. Jokerit has been league champion several times in its history and has also bagged several other minor domestic trophies. It has also proven its worth on the continental stage by winning back-to-back European Cups in 1995 and 1996.
