Edmonton Football Team is one of the most successful Canadian football teams. Founded in 1949, this team has been a part of the nation's top division since its inception, winning several championships along the way. It won its first N. J. Taylor Trophy, in 1952 and two years later it was crowned champions of the prestigious Grey Cup. In 1956 it became the first team to win three back to back Grey Cup titles and then beat its own record when it won five consecutive championships between 1978–1982.
