The Fordham Rams represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of Fordham University in New York City. The school has NCAA Division I standing and competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference and the NCAA Patriot League football subdivision. Fordham's basketball programs have enjoyed moderate success over the years, with the men's team making the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 1953, and the women's squad accomplishing the same feat in 1994. Other men's and women's programs sponsored by the school include baseball, football, cross country, water polo and diving teams.
