The Tigers and Lady Tigers represent the athletic teams at Tennessee State University. The seven men's and eight women's teams are members of the NCAA Division I and competitors in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Tiger's men's basketball team is the school's most renowned program, winning the NAIA title for three consecutive years from 1957 to 1959.
