The Monmouth Hawks represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. The school has NCAA Division I standing and competed in the Northeast Conference until 2013, when it transferred to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. A Football Championship Subdivision independent team, the school's football program plans to move to the Big South Conference in 2014. Other men's and women's programs sponsored by Monmouth include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, softball, tennis, field hockey and lacrosse teams.
