The Penn Quakers represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. An NCAA Division I school, the university competes in the Ivy League. Penn has a long and illustrious athletic history built upon many celebrated seasons and titles. The university's football team won its first of over a dozen Ivy League Championships in 1959, while its men's and women's fencing squads have won multiple NCAA National Championships. Other men's and women's sports supported by Penn include basketball, crew, soccer and lacrosse.
