The Idaho State Bengals represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. An NCAA Division I school, the university competes in the Big Sky Conference. Idaho State's basketball programs have enjoyed fleeting success over the years, with the men's squad making it all the way to the Elite Eight in 1977's NCAA March Madness tournament. Other men's and women's athletic programs supported by the university include cross country, football, golf, tennis, soccer, softball and volleyball.
