The members of Wille and the Bandits might resemble mellow reggae artists and they might be based out of the UK, but the trio creates throwback American roots rock with nods to psych and classic rhythm & blues. The raw grit of front man Wille Edward's voice and the virtuosity of his backing instrumentalists have set the trio apart from the hordes of other roots rock musicians. Though unsigned and without management, Wille and the Bandits have managed to impress enough musicians and fans to nab opening spots for the likes of the John Butler Trio and blues legend Joe Bonamassa.
