HMBC (thankfully shortened from Holstuonarmusigbigbandclub) is a new folk music band from Vienna that tries to bring new life to the backwoods sound of the Holstuonar alpine farmers by mixing in some jazz, reggae and hip-hop for good measure. As could be expected, HMBC became an immediate sensation in Austria and in many other German-speaking countries where songs from the countryside are considered popular music. The band still goes strong to this day.
