Niomi Arleen McLean-Daley, who performs and releases music as Ms. Dynamite, is a British hip-hop singer/songwriter. Growing up in London to a Jamaican father and Scottish mother, Ms. Dynamite absorbed culture like a sponge and eventually started weaving her own multi-ethnic style of rap music. Ms. Dynamite released her debut album, A Little Deeper, in 2002 and the extremely well-received LP went on to win the prestigious Mercury Prize.
