Maurane

Maurane was a French pop and jazz musician hailing from Brussels. Her real name is Claudine Luypaerts, and she was born in 1960 in Ixelles, Belgium. Maurane learned the violin at age eight and eventually picked up the guitar and piano as well. Maurane was strongly influenced by musicals such as West Side Story, and these influences are evident in her own music. Maurane has a huge following in France and performs there regularly.
