About
Derrick May was drawn to music at a very young age. He was born in Detroit and during his teenage years there he befriended the now acclaimed producer Juan Atkins. He learned the basics of DJing and music production from Atkins. He debuted with record "Nude Photo" in 1987. He has released several albums and mixes since then. He has mentored quite a few artists as well.
