Hinson is an Americana singer/songwriter from Abilene, Texas whose career in music sprouted from a particularly troubled youth in small-town America, with his critically-acclaimed 2004 debut album Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress announcing to the world that he had finally found his place in the world. Since then, Hinson has been busy in the studio recording several follow up EPs and albums to his debut, slowly but surely rising up the ranks of today's flourishing Americana/alt-country scene.
