Derek Bishop is a singer/songwriter who spent years as an art director for a number of Broadway cast albums before emerging as a solo artist with his 2011 debut LP Resistance is Beautiful. With a sound that blends a multitude of styles to create hook-laden piano pop, Bishop has managed to define himself with a unique and highly theatrical sonic aesthetic.
