Gangstagrass

Formed in 2006, Gangstagrass is a New York City-based outfit that creates an unassuming fusion of bluegrass and rap. After cultivating a niche following around the Brooklyn area, the band reached a national audience with its song "Long Hard Times to Come," which was featured on the 2010 LP Lighting on the String, Thunder on the Mic and chosen as the theme song for the FX television series Justified. Gangstagrass continues to record its alternative hip-hop-country music on records such as 2014's Broken Hearts and Stolen Money.
