The Jerky Boys began in 1989 with friends Johnny Brennan and Kamal Ahmed. The duo gave a grand spin to prank calls by calling up random strangers while performing on stage and spoke with these strangers as over the top characters. Recordings of their prank calls being played on The Howard Stern Show brought them instant fame. The duo Brennan and Ahmed parted ways in 2000 with the former continuing on with The Jerky Boys as a solo act up until 2000. After a hiatus of about five years, Brennan resumed The Jerky Boys shows, still as a solo act. He has collaborated with other comedians and has produced several solo albums.
