British electronic musician Richard David James, who's better known by his stage name Aphex Twin, pushes electronic avant-garde to new levels by combining ambient techno with classical instruments and sounds of found objects. He started releasing material in the early 1990s and was quickly hailed as one of the more innovative electronic musicians of his generation. While he is a formidable sonic force, and a true talent of the electronic genre, he wouldn't be where he is without electronic pioneers like Brian Eno, John Cage and Morton Subotnick.
