Jets Overhead

Some ambient rock groups get it all wrong. Most are either too mellow or too abstract. The Canadian band Jets Overhead somehow manages to get it right, though. By combining downtempo instrumentals with fairly upbeat rhythms and highlighted vocals, the group has managed to hit a sound that many groups attempt to achieve: dreamy alternative shoegaze . The group released its debut LP, Bridges, in 2003 and ever since then the band has been busy touring and working on new material.
