Cristiano De André is an Italian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalists who first rose to fame in 1982 after he released his debut album, Call Them Hard Times. Son of the famous Italian singer Fabrizio De André, Cristiano was raised in an extremely musical environment and would eventually go on to study guitar and violin at the Conservatory Niccolo Paganini in Genoa. Creating music that blends traditional Italian sounds with more modern pop song sensibilities, Cristiano has been praised for his forward thinking approach to classical European folk music.
