The Philadelphia Union is a professional soccer team based out of the Philadelphia suburb of Chester, Pennsylvania that plays in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer. Founded in 2010, the team plays its home games at the soccer-specific stadium PPL Park, which is located on the banks of the Delaware River. Because of Philadelphia's location next to other metropolitan cities along the East Coast, it has established heated rivalries with D.C. United and the New York Red Bulls.
