Chris Potter is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Chicago who is recognized as one of the most prominent saxophonists of modern jazz. By the time he was 13 years old, he earned a reputation as a musical prodigy for having easily mastered the saxophone language of Charlie Parker. Potter released his debut album, Presenting Chris Potter, with Criss Cross jazz in 1994, and has since continued to release material as a band leader and as a sideman to other renowned jazz artists such as Dave Holland.
