Based out of Victoria, Canada, Acres of Lions has become synonymous with anthemic pop-rock, that's both listenable and upbeat. The four-piece appeared on Canada's music scene in 2006 and by 2009, the group had landed on many music journals' "Best of" lists for its debut album as well as grabbed headlining spots at a slew of Canadian music festivals. Acres of Lions also worked its way overseas into the UK, garnering a re-release of its debut album on prominent English label Fierce Panda, and marking the band as one capable of going beyond just Canadian fame.
