Meir Yaniv and Amit Ofir grew up together and began playing guitar at the age of 13. Eventually the childhood friends decided to form a band and one incarnation led to another, with the band settling on a solid four-piece and dubbing itself Abused Romance in 2006. Since then, the Hollywood-based band has developed a characteristic high-energy sound that fuses hard rock, alternative rock and emotive lyrics. With consistent comparisons to Linkin Park and 30 Seconds to Mars, Abused Romance has easily found an eager group of listeners, only expanded further by the big name producers the band has had the opportunity to work with.
