Formed hastily as the entertainment for a going away party for Saye Saye--who was moving from Portland to Atlanta in 2006--1-2 Buckle My Shoe was supposed to be a one-time only band. However, Saye Saye and her co-founder P-Dub received such accolades from friends at the party that they decided to keep the band going long-distance, with Saye Saye in Atlanta and P-Dub still in Portland. While the duo only plays reunion shows occasionally and rarely releases new music, 1-2 Buckle My Shoe has found a niche fan base that appreciates its 30-second long comedic electro-rock tracks, and eagerly awaits the band's new work.
