Parisian metal band Arkan is proud to define its style as "oriental," drawing from eastern Arabic sounds to create a dynamic, metal-influenced sound. Led by a female singer, the band also sets itself apart by exploring the possibilities of femininity in a genre often dominated by men. The band plays mostly in and around Europe, even while its sound seems to transcend any one place.
