Eddie C Campbell

Born in Mississippi, blues singer and guitarist Eddie C Campbell moved to Chicago at the age of 10. By the time he was 12 years-old, he was learning how to play music from blues legends Muddy Waters, Magic Sam and Otis Rush. Campbell reached his first break in 1976 when Willie Dixon hired him to play in the Chicago Blues All-Stars. He released his debut album, King of the Jungle, the following year. After a decade in Europe, signs of maturity in voice and execution were evident in Campbell's music, particularly in his 1997 effort, Hopes and Dreams. His 2009 album Tear This World Up was nominated for "Album of the Year" by the Blues Foundation.
