From Italy, Gabriella Ferrone began as a pop artist but soon turned to R&B after her introduction to the music of American artists Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce. She first got into the studio in 2008 and eventually released her first album, Now I Know, in 2011, which is highly characterized by her international influences. Her debut album release corresponded with her Festival di Sanremo performance of the song "A Piece of Summer."
