About
Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Avey Tare is best known for his work in the band Animal Collective. As the band's principal songwriter, it's no surprise Tare has taken time to work on his own solo material. Tare's debut album Down There came out in 2010, with the debut single "Lucky 1" preceding the LP release. Tare is known for his interest in the visual component to Animal Collective's performances, as well as his own music videos and album art.
