The Indiana Hoosiers represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of Indiana University Bloomington. As a member of the NCAA's Division I, the university competes in the Big Ten Conference, where it sponsors a wide range of men's and women's programs in sports such as basketball, football, soccer, swimming, cross country and baseball. Indiana is widely known for its men's basketball program, which won its first NCAA title in 1940 and has launched the careers of many NBA players, including Walt Bellamy and Isiah Thomas.
