Foster & Allen is the folk project of Mick Foster and Tony Allen, two artists who have been crafting sentimental ballads with classic Irish instrumentals since the mid-1970s. Though they performed as a pair during their early partnership, they added a full band to their show in 1982. Foster & Allen released its first full-length LP The Blacksmith, in 1976, and has since built an impressive catalog of albums. With an unrelenting classic folk sound, the band has maintained its dedicated following through dozens of records, including 2012's The Ultimate Collection.
