Formed in 1988 in Sardinia, this Italian pop-rock band creates true ethnic music. Although all three band member are Italian, Tazenda's lyrics are dominantly in Logudorese, a dialect of Sardinia. Their first self-titled album was completed in 1988, and the band has since released a steady flow of studio records, not to mention three live albums and one compilation CD. Tazenda released Madre Terra in 2008, to positive reviews.
