Nine members deep, this surf rock-bongo punk band from Italy is packed with percussionists. Chuma Chums produce music that varies from punk to reggaeton, drum'n'bass to surf rock. In one show, these musicians can have a crowd moshing to ringing guitars, or swaying to island beats. The diversity that is Chuma Chums attracts just as much variation in the band's fan base. After playing Ferrara Buskers Festival in 2009, the group generated a solid following. On Chuma Chums's 2010 full nine-track record, Fest-On, the band experiments with rap and focus their instrumentation towards creating a bass-heavy, rock album.
